Miar, Delenn, Rhian & Cerys resting at home

Just before Crufts, Miar came in season and we decided that we would take this last chance to have a litter from her and so on 16 May, Cerys and Oliver were born.

From the very beginning, they were so different from each other. Cerys has a lot of white on her, whilst Ollie has a red jacket, Cerys was always much smaller than Ollie.

As they grew up, we realised that nothing bothered Cerys (we nicknamed her "Unflappable"), whilst Ollie was going to be a very strong character. Despite their differences, they were a pair and so we decided that their Kennel Club names would be Barhi Crouching Tiger (Ollie) and Barhi Hidden Dragon (Cerys), which recalled our visit in 2000 to the villages where the Chinese film was made. Ollie has gone to live with our dog sitter, Carol, and Cerys remains with us.

Oliver & Cerys investigating

So we now have 4 dogs at home, which is quite a lot, but at least Rhian at 14½ has reached the age when she spends much of her time sleeping.

I also show Copper and Ollie, so at times the house can be pretty full. Copper has continued his winning ways with more Best of Breeds and has again qualified for Crufts. Ollie has started his showing career in spectacular fashion winning Puppy Group 3 at six months and 1 day.

Oliver also qualified for Crufts 2003, at the only show that he could (due to age and closing dates). On the brains side of things, both Ollie and Cerys have gained their Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze awards. Cerys won hers at the very early age of 4½ months. They are now working toward their Silver awards.
